Launched in 1996 as the successor to the SKX001, the SKX007 became the archetypal Seiko diver — 200 m water resistant, ISO 6425 certified, with the company's unbreakable 7S26 caliber. Day and date at 3, lume thick enough to read in a coffin.
Discontinued in 2019 after a 23-year run, the SKX007 is one of the most-modded watches in the world. The case, dial, hands, bezel insert, even the crown and chapter ring all have aftermarket replacements. A starting-point watch and an end-point watch in one.
